1. Agni Theertham

Historically speaking, it is said that it was here that Goddess Sita performed her ‘Agni Pariksha’, where she had asked Lord Laxman to set her on fire to prove her purity. Sita because of her chaste nature was unharmed. Hence a dip in this holy sea is considered to make a person pure.

2. Panchamukha Hanuman Temple
Panchamukha Hanuman Temple has an idol of Lord Hanuman with face faces (PanchMukh) made with black stone and covered with a red cloth and vermillion.
It is said that Lord Hanuman had to extinguish five lamps, so that Lord Rama would be able to kill Ravana. Since all the five flames were burning in five different directions, he revealed his five faces at once to burn the five lamps The front-facing face is of Lord Hanuman, while on the sides, the faces are of Lord Narasimha, Lord Adivaraha, Lord Garuda and Lord Hayagriva.
One must see the floating stones that have been placed here from Ram Setu, the ones that were used to build the floating bridge for Lord Rama to reach Lanka.
Things to Do: One can buy these floating stones for a nominal price outside the temple complex.

3. Ramanathaswamy Temple
One of the 275 greatest Shiva temples of the continent is the Ramanathaswamy Temple, it is opulently famous for being a holy pilgrimage site for the Hindus.
The structure of the temple is similar to the other ancient temples of South India with a high compound wall. Its outer corridor is one of the longest temple corridors with a height of 6.9 metres and boasts of 1212 pillars.

The museum is now looked after by his brother and it provides a glance into the life of Dr Kalam using various photographs, medals, awards, and his contribution to defence & development. The ground floor is now a souvenir shop while the second floor is an art gallery.

5. Pamban Bridge

6. Dhanushkodi
