The Famous Mallikarjuna temple located at a height of about 457 meters on the southern bank of river Krishna is one of the major tourist attraction in Srisailam and the first place to visit in our Srisailam day tour. This is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples in the country.
The Sanctum of Mallikarjuna temple is a shell like structure with the shrine of Lord mallikarjuna on it with all its charm. The unique feature of this kshethram is the combination of jyotirlinga and mahasakthi in one place, which is very rare and one of this kind.
Heroic legends from ramayana and Mahabharata are sculpted in stones on the walls of temple. The antiquity and origin of Mallikarjuna Swamy and Bhramaramba devi is not known.
2. Pathala Ganga

4. Paladhara Panchadara
Paladhara Panchadara is located in a narrow valley approachable by steep steps where subterranean streams of pure water with musical sound reverberating the surroundings. The water from this stream flows in interrupted at all seasons.
According to local folk these streams are known as Phaladhara Panchadhara and these two signify their origin from the forehead of God Siva the Phaladhara (Phala = forehead, dhara = Stream) and denote the five aspects of Shiva, the Panchadhara (Pancha = five, dhara = Stream).
5. Shikaresvara Temple
