1. Nagarjuna Sagar Dam
Nagarjuna Sagar, built on the Krishna river is the largest dam built in India and is located in Nalgonda District of Telangana state. Initially it was known as ‘Nandikonda Project’. Nagarjuna Sagar, one of the earliest hydro-electric projects of India was completed in 1966. It is 124 meters high and 1 km long and has 26 crest gates.

This island has a Buddhist museum constructed in the shape of a Buddhist Vihara. The excavated remains of the Buddhist civilization have been reconstructed and carefully preserved in this museum.
There is a great collection of relics of Buddhist art and culture. The main attraction of the museum is a partly ruined monolithic statue of Buddha,which is once a symbol of peace and poise.
3. Ethipothala Waterfalls
The Ethipothala waterfalls are a radiant sight of the power and beauty of nature. Chandravanka, a mountain stream cascades down the hills from a height of 22 m, near the Nagarjuna Sagar dam.
The scenic beauty of this waterfall is just 11 km away from Nagarjuna Sagar Dam. The waterfall is a combination of three streams. There are beautiful valleys and numerous cave temples to add on the beauty of this place. The fabulous lagoon formed by the waterfalls has a crocodile -breeding centre.
